Welcome!

Here you will find fine glass lampworked beads of many colors and styles which are sure to work wonderfully in your jewelry designs.

Follow the links on the left side of the pages to cruise around and see what I have to offer you.

I use many brands of soft glass - Effetre, Vetrofond, Lauscha, and Pi, for example. All beads go straight from the flame to a digitally controlled kiln for annealing to enhance durability and strength.

Self-Representing Artists Rock!

I sometimes hear people asking, "What is this "SRA" I keep seeing in auction titles?" An SRA is a Self-Representing Artist. It is an artist who sells his or her own art. They do not have an agent; they represent themselves.

It is my belief that endorsing artists is vital to keeping artisans an integral part of American culture. Life for everyone is enriched beyond measure by the arts. We become cold and sterile people without the pleasure and delight of imagination and art in our daily lives.

Most lampworkers do not have agents or anyone else to sell our beads for us. We sell on our own websites, by putting up auctions on sites such as eBay.com and justbeads.com, by trudging from store to store offering our beads for sale, by attending bead shows, and by word of mouth.

Whenever you are shopping for beads, please support your local artisans and help keep arts and crafts alive and flourishing.

Learn about lampworkers who represent themselves for their livelihood by visiting the SRA page kept by Melinda Melanson at:
